News/Blog

In 1976, we began as an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence in Bergen County, NJ. During our 50-year evolution, we have become more than just a shelter, expanding our non-residential services—Community Services that include career counseling and housing navigation assistance; Project CHILD therapy for children ages 4-12 along with parental support; Domestic Violence Liaisons in Bergen County’s child welfare offices; free legal services; and rental assistance through our Safe and Sustainable Futures Program.

We wouldn’t be able to help those affected by domestic violence in Bergen County without generosity from the community. Donations have helped us assist clients and their families in their journeys to living free from violence. Thank you to all our supporters for being a part of our 50 years of impact.
