We host our WALK TOGETHER Against Domestic Violence during the month of October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Our family-friendly 3K walk goes through Van Saun County Park. Together as a community, we show our support for those impacted by domestic violence and spread awareness in Bergen County.

Domestic violence happens everywhere, including right here in Bergen County. Ninety percent of Bergen County homicides are linked to domestic violence. In 2025, Center for Hope & Safety served more than 1,450 Bergen County adults and children. Many more are experiencing domestic abuse but are unable to leave for a myriad of reasons.

Proceeds from the walk support the work of Center for Hope & Safety’s comprehensive suite of services that enable those impacted by domestic violence to rebuild their lives.
