Virtual Volunteering

We are so grateful for the wonderful community of volunteers who work with us to create a better world!

We know that in times of stress and uncertainty, rates of domestic violence greatly increase. In these uncertain and ever-evolving times, Center for Hope and Safety and the people we serve need the support of our friends throughout Bergen County and beyond more than ever.

Until we are once again able to welcome volunteers into our office space, below are some ways that you can continue to support survivors and the vital work Center for Hope and Safety does from your own home.

Do you have your own ideas about how you can support Center for Hope and Safety virtually? We want to hear them! Please contact to inquire about how you, your loved ones, or your organization can help support Center for Hope and Safety from afar.

Thank you for your support!

Raise money to support the critical work of Center for Hope and Safety or collect much needed gift cards.

Create Your Own Fundraising Campaign

Help raise money to support the critical work of Center for Hope and Safety. With our ability to engage in fundraising activities being currently severely hampered, financial support from you, your friends, and family will directly impact our ability to keep essential services operational so that we can be there for all who need us right now and in the days ahead.

Plan your own fundraiser then share it through email and on social media. And don’t forget to tag Center for Hope and Safety so that we can share it!

Create a Virtual Gift Card Drive

Create a virtual drive encouraging the donation of gift cards to ease clients’ access to obtaining necessary items. We value the power of choice, and we encourage survivors to use donated gift cards in order to regain a sense of self and independence.

Gift cards that are the most critical at this time are to grocery stores, drug stores and general money gift cards (Visa, MasterCard or American Express).

Share our social media, organize a virtual Lunch & Learn, and more.

There are so many ways that you can help Center for Hope and Safety spread awareness and information!
